My journey into Traditional Chinese Medicine began not in a classroom, but in my family’s clinic in Dalian, China. For three generations, healing has been our way of life—but I didn’t fully believe in it until I experienced it myself.

As a teenager, I suffered a sudden, intense bout of appendicitis. Before we could reach a hospital, my mother gently inserted two acupuncture needles. Within minutes, the pain vanished. That moment changed the course of my life.

I chose to study at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, one of the most respected TCM institutions in the world. There, I trained under the esteemed Professor Zhao Baixiao and graduated with distinction. Yet, I quickly realized that true healing goes beyond tradition—it must evolve. When my research on using acupuncture to treat phantom limb pain was praised by hospital experts but dismissed by conservative faculty, I knew I needed to seek a place where East and West could meet freely.

That place was Canada.

I earned my Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and founded Lotus Care in Ottawa—a clinic where classical acupuncture and herbal medicine are integrated with modern naturopathic therapies.

Here, I specialize in treating pain, stress, hormonal imbalance, and complex chronic conditions. Every treatment plan is personalized, rooted in both deep tradition and scientific insight.

My mission is not only to help patients heal—but also to mentor the next generation of TCM practitioners. I envision Lotus Care as a center for excellence, research, and education in Chinese Medicine for the future of healthcare in Canada.
